In particular, ESMA has published a new Q&A regarding the correct filling in of fields 2.53 and 2.92 “Jurisdiction of the issuer” where it is asked whether these fields should be filled in with the code of the country of the registered office of the issuer or the country where the head office is located.

In answering the question, ESMA specifies that these fields should be filled in with the country of the registered office of the issuer (fields 2.54 and 2.93 “Issuer’s LEI”), corresponding to the “Registered office” in the GLEIF data.
