The proposed RTS aims to help stakeholders understand the influence that investment firms have on the companies in which they hold voting rights and the impact that investment policies have on aspects such as the governance or management of those companies.
The RTS presents templates and tables for reporting information on an investment firm’s voting behaviour, with the aim of showing whether the investment firm is an active shareholder who generally uses its voting rights, and how it uses them.
The first reporting date is 31 December 2021.
EBA has published Guidelines on recovery plan indicators.
The Guidelines establish a common EU approach for developing the framework of recovery plan indicators, providing additional guidance on indicators’ calibration, monitoring and breaches notifications. Also, they provide additional guidance on the calibration of thresholds of recovery indicators to ensure that recovery options are implemented early enough, so as to be effective.
Lastly, the minimum list of indicators includes three new additional recovery indicators (MREL/TLAC, asset encumbrance and liquidity position) to the minimum list of recovery indicators and one of them (cost of wholesale funding) has been removed.
The responses received will provide input for the ESAs’ technical advice to the European Commission on the revision of the Key Information Document (KID) for PRIIPs.
The ESAs are seeking information from stakeholders on a range of topics, including the practical application of the existing KID, such as its use by financial advisers or the use of digital media, the scope of the PRIIPs Regulation and the degree of complexity and readability of the KID.
The consultation will end on 16 December 2021.
