Published in the Official Journal of the European Union of Oct. 10, 2022, Regulation (EU) 2022/1917 of the European Central Bank of Sept. 29, 2022 on infringement procedures in case of non-compliance with statistical reporting requirements.

This Regulation provides for the establishment of a coordinated framework and for the imposition of sanctions on reporting agents in case of non-compliance with the statistical reporting requirements identified by ECB regulations and decisions.This Regulation determines the scope of monitoring the compliance of reporting agents with these requirements and identifies the following procedures to be applied by the relevant Eurosystem central bank:
  • monitoring and recording procedure;
  • reporting procedure;
  • reporting procedure;
  • approval and implementation of a corrective plan;
  • infringement procedure.
