ESMA has published the list of instruments (ISINs) that will complement the results of the annual transparency calculations for equity and equity-like instruments on 8 April 2022.
A special feature highlights the potential impact of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on the EU/EEA banking sector.
Based on the EBA’s initial assessment, direct exposures to Russia, Belarus and Ukraine are limited, but second-round effects may be more material from a financial stability perspective.
EIOPA has submitted to the European Commission draft amendments to the implementing technical standards (ITS) that establish supervisory reporting and disclosure requirements under Solvency II.
The draft amendments to the ITS provide for greater proportionality in the application of the measures, fit-for-purpose reporting requirements, reduced reporting costs for most insurance undertakings and improved supervision through the inclusion of some new information on emerging risks and new areas where supervisors have identified a number of data gaps.
In particular, changes to supervisory reporting and public disclosure include simplifications to quarterly reporting for all firms, elimination of some annual reporting templates and new thresholds to better promote risk-based and proportionate reporting requirements, leading to exemptions from reporting certain templates for many firms.
