Bank of Italy has published a Communication on the application of Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 on cryptocurrency markets (MiCAR), in which it draws the attention of all entities operating in these markets to aspects of relevance to the functions exercised by the Bank, in order to favour an application of MiCAR that contributes to preserving the smooth functioning of the payment and financial system
